This poster was created to provide interesting facts about the range of specialization in spider silk-gland physiology, while promoting curiosity, and reducing common stigma against this class of animals. Latrodectus was selected due to the large size of the abdomen which provided better visual reference for these organs.  Focus was made on the mechanical properties of silk due to the large volume of academic interest in this arena.
